The reason for my visit to Dunbar was to do a tour of the Belhaven brewery. It was a bit of a walk from the town but it was worth it.
It is actually in the village of Belhaven. Lovely place with quaint streets.

I would like to thank my daughter for giving me such a great Christmas present. She knows my favourite beer is Belhaven best. A tour of the brewery was perfect present.
My tour guide was Chris. He was a great ambassador for the Brewery.
Really knew his stuff. Next time I have a BEST I will be able to tell my friends all about my time in Belhaven.

I learned that Belhaven is the oldest operating brewery in Scotland. Brewing has taken place there since the time of the Benedictine Monks 800 years ago. The brewery was purchased by Greene King of Suffolk in 2005.
