Alcudia Majorca April 2024
Family fun in the sun.
Family fun in the sun.
Alcudia lies on the north east coast of Mallorca. It is a family resort with miles of soft sandy beaches to play in.
Sightseers will enjoy the historic old town while shoppers look out for the weekly market. There is three sides of Alcudia. It has the strip, the port and medieval Old Town. We stayed in the port area.
We went in April. Perfect weather for me.

Tuesday
Good flight. Picked up at the Airport. Please note You have to get the appropriate bus for your hotel.
Zafiro Tropic and Spa was out home for seven days.
We all said the hotel was super. It was perfect for the kids.
We all loved it.
Just watch there is a Zafiro Palace hotel close by.
First night we had dinner at Dakotta Steak bar.
I had the Ribs which I enjoyed.
To finish the night we visited Sgt Peppers International Bar for a couple of drinks before bed. It became our local.

Wednesday
We walked along to Champions bar for breakfast. Which is on Avenida Pedro Mas i Reus. This street is nicknamed Dollar street.
A bit of a long walk but we got there. Young Blake done well.
His wee legs were tired. We all really enjoyed eating out in the sunshine.
Beach on the way back. What a beach. Superb time in the golden sands of Alcudia. The town has the largest and longest beach in Mallorca.

Thursday
Today we visited the Old Town. It is surrounded by an impressive city wall from the 13th century.
We wandered the maze of narrow streets. The whole area is crammed with ancient medieval buildings and Roman houses adorned with colorful flowers.
Young Blake got a Centurian helmet and sword to re-enact historical times.

Never expected Old Town to be so special. Really enjoyed exploring the many back streets.
Friday
We took the number 324 bus to the next sea resort of Can Picafort.
It is 10km away. Too far to walk.
Unfortunately, it was Market day. Not my favourite pastime.
I escaped with only a few euros down.
In the Afternoon we headed back to Alcudia.

Sculptures at Sea
Artist Joan Bennassar has set up four sculptural groups of 'goddesses' on the resort's shores and in the sea for visitors to enjoy. You can see the size of them by measuring Carson against them.
