First Roadtrip of winter 2015/2016
We left Clydebank 10.00. We heard there was snow further north. So we left wondering if the snow was coming our way. Our plan was to go to Killin and have lunch in the Falls of Dochert inn. Sadly to say we ended up having at fry up at our first stop.--Callander. After that we stop at Loch Lubnaig for photographs. As you can see from the pics--There is snow on the top of the mountains. We then drive straight to Killin. Sadly to say the Falls of Dochart inn was closed for the winter. So we head to the Killin hotel which was fine .Warm as well.

Callander is situated on the River Teith. The town is located in the former county of Perthshire and is a popular tourist stop to and from the Highlands.

Below is Loch Lubnaig is about 5 km long and nestles in the space between Ben Ledi and Ben Vorlich. Fed by the River Balvaig from the north and drained by the Garbh Uisge to the south, Loch Lubnaig offers fishing from the shore while canoes can be rented at the north end.
Falls of Dochart The Falls of Dochart are a special section of the River Dochart. I have photographed the falls many times and every time is different. The weather can affect the amount of water which runs over the falls.
