Riquewihr is a quaint town in Eastern France. It has cobbled streets with half-timbered buildings. We only had a few hours to enjoy. Riquewhr is known as one of the most Beautiful Villages in France.

It gets the nickname-- The Gem of the Alsace Vineyards. Not far from the German border. Riquewihr must be a beautiful place at Christmas time. Would love that.

Riquewihr was one of the few towns in the area not to be badly damaged during World War II.
Riquewihr is also known for the Riesling and other wines produced in the village. Riquewihr looks today more or less as it did in the 16th century. It is located on the Route des Vins (The Wines Road), close to Colmar.
The building are decorated with flowers in the spring and in the summer
