Camel or Horse
Driving along in our taxi to Giza our driver shouts to us CAMEL OR HORSE. We look at each other and said Pyramids my friend.CAMEL OR HORSE.We look at each and say camel.Next thing we know we are driven up a side street and carry on to a square. Here we get out of the cab and are taken into a local`s house.
Here we are asked to sit down and have a cup of tea.
Charming gentleman.After a while we look out the window and we can see two camels coming up the street. Aw naw there for us.Two big bloody camels.

A quick good bye to our friendly host and it`s out to see our ship of the desert. I had Fran and Eric had Anna. I thought to myself.How the hell am I going to get up on that four legged giant.
It was a bit easier when their owner made them lie down.I was told to hop on.I was helped on to the saddle. I held on to the front and the back of the saddle.Crapping myself.

Did you know ? A camel's hump does not hold water at all – it actually stores fat. The camel uses it as nourishment when food is scarce. If a camel uses the fat inside the hump, the hump will become limp and droop down. With proper food and rest the hump will return to normal.
After a while we see the pyramids in the distance.
Now beginning to really enjoy this adventure.

The pyramids are special.Everyone should visit.At least once in their lifetime. On a camel made it all the more special.We trot through the desert and back to the entrance. After tipping the guide,the camel owner and our friend that made us so welcome in his home.
We take the cab down to see the River Nile.
