Just after lunch I walked to the village of Old Kilpatrick.I wasn`t sure where I was going but I needed a long walk.
So I decided to head for Loch Humphrey.
So I decided to head for Loch Humphrey.
It`s a real grind to get up to the top of the hill to the loch.It really showed that i ' m not as fit I used to be. I passed where my friend stayed.Gavinburn Cottage
The views are amazing --Erskine Bridge and further down the river Clyde. After the hill it was pleasant to have a flat walk up to the reservoir.
I walked round the west bank of Loch Humphrey.Great views over the reservoir. Then through the Alpine forest.
Lovely listening to the birds.Scotland has so many wonderful walk.Scenery is amazing.

A short while out of the forest you arrive at the Greenland

Blacklinn is the final loch for today`s three loch loop.
Great views over to the mountains that are close to Loch Lomond.Ben Lomond is the tallest in the right. It is a great walk to the summit.Bit more of a grind than today`s stroll.
In the background is Glasgow Airport. No traffic since Lockdown.I walk down and head for home.Another great day out on the Kilpatrick hills.
