Tavira
The historical background and the sealife-- mix easily in this southern Portuguese sea resort. The town centre has many winding and narrow streets. Try and explore. Always good to see the locals and where they live. There are castle walls to admire. Won t take too long to walk.
Above is The Roman Bridge/ Ponta Romana is one of the original bridges in Tavira and dates all the way back to 400AD.

Sadly our visit was spoiled due to a thief walking into our restaurant and stealing money from one of the dining tables. The cash was left to pay for a meal for four. Plus, a tip for the staff. He was very cool and just noticed out of the side of my eye.
