It started with crazy folk in Glasgow climbing up the Equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington and positioning the cone on the duke`s head.
Fun but Dangerous. Especially with a few drinks in you.
Crowds gather round and cheer when it`s back up on it`s new home. It`s now the cities unofficial favorite landmark.

Apart from the possibility of serious injury the Cone is not popular with everyone. The cost was £10000 a year for the removal of the Duke`s new hat. Two workers and a cherry picker {Lifting platform} had to be used. I think the council have gave up on that.

Many people campaign to have streets renamed. Buildings knocked down and historical items returned to their place of origin but nothing is ever mention the Dook.
