Ayr pier
Ayr November 2024.Along awaited visit to Ayr to see my sister. I took the train from Glasgow Central to Ayr. Took around an hour. Pleasent journey. Always sit on the right side of the carriage. Follow the coast round.
Before lunch I had a spare hour. So I took a stroll along the waterfront. Cold but dry Monday morning. Great time for a walk.

The tide was out so there was plenty of beach for the dogs to run about. Perfect place for dog walkers.
There is a useful bronze map on the esplanade. Just Infront of the playpark. This shows you places of interest in front of you.

Today Arrans highest mountain {Goatfel} 2866 ft had a sprinkling of snow. I enjoyed photographing the island from Ayr Pier.
Walk to the very end of the beach and squeeze yourself through the barrier to get on to the pier. Save yourself a ten minute walk round the docks.
The pier is good for taking panoramic images.
After my walk I headed back into the town centre for lunch.
We met at the Kirk pub. Great time down at the seaside.
