Top 10 Questions about cruise holidays
I`m no expert and have only been on three cruises but people keep asking me questions.
I have put together my most asked questions and have answered honestly.
It`s my opinion 

Q1. Why should I book?

A1 If you love travelling to different destinations. Wake in the morning to a different port. Good food, good drinks and good entertainment.   

Q2  Is it very snobbish? 

A2 No - Suit yourself -fine dining - you have to be smartly dressed.
​The rest is totally up to you. 

Q3 Where do I book?

A3 We used Trailfinders. They have great knowledge about travel. Really can book anywhere. On line no probs.

Q4 What`s a food and drink package?

A4 I say take a drink package if you enjoy a few alcoholic drinks.
The drinks are expensive onboard.
​If you have already a package you can relax.   

Q5 Is the food good? 

A5 Yes sure is. All different. Eat as much as like. Be warned you could have to join a gym on return. The specialist restaurants will have a surcharge. 

Q6 Will I need a lot of cash?

A6 Onboard - Everything is charged to your credit card. If you have a drinks package it will be only items you buy in the shops.
On land you need currencies of the nation you are visiting.  

Q7 Can I find out about what the big news at home? 

A7 Yes - TV in room CNN and BBC

Q8 What time do you have to be back onboard when ashore.

A8 30mins before sailing - Check with your cruise company. 

Q9 Do these large liners dock at every port.

A9 Great when they do but sometimes they can`t dock so the tenders [small boats] come into action.

Q10 What do I do before day of departure?   

A10 Cruise Insurance very very important.
Usual holiday planning-check passport/Visa
Travel money for all countries.
​Mind if your flying first check weight for cases.
