Dunrobin Castle is in Sutherland- Scotland. It`s about 1 mile of so from Golspie. We parked the car there and walked along the beach to the stately home. It is the home of Clan Sutherland. Well worth a visit.
The Sutherland name is not popular name in Scottish history.
In 19th century The Sutherland clearances took places.
Local people were evicted in favour of the more profitable sheep.
They were sent to towns near the sea. As farmers there was no way of feeding their families.So many emigrated around the world.
