Glasgow was a brilliant place to be in during the seventies.All the top bands wanted to play Greens playhouse. I enjoyed so many special nights.
1985 it changed its name to the Apollo.

Modelled on Greek and Roman amphitheatres, the 45m tall building, with its distinctive silver dome, stands higher than the neighbouring Armadillo.

Today the Hydro is the music area.The famous artists still come but the atmosphere is not the same. You are not close up-- unless you pay top dollar.I m not a great outdoor concert fan but Coldplay and the Eagles were very good.
