Porto July 2024
The locals call it Oporto. Which means The Port in Portuguese.
The city never let us down. It was wonderful. Up there with my favourite cities. Finally, I seen the famous arches of the mighty Dom Luís I Bridge. So many sights. You would enjoy roaming around the cobbled lanes of the old town.

It was my favourite stop on the cruise. Amazing place built on the banks of the river Douro. We enjoyed a Six Bridges Panoramic Cruise.
The weather was brilliant and atmosphere in the city was super.
We had done a bit of homework and learned the main railway station was well worth a visit. It's a stunning place.

The main MacDonalds was the best I have ever seen. Like a historical building. We could not get near the famous Harry Potter book shop. The place was mobbed.
If you want to dodge Mac Ds there are enough places to eat cheaply. The city has much more affordable prices to Lisbon.
The riverfront district of Ribeira is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We only had one day. It was not enough. Hopefully we will return soon.
