Straight forward journey. Along Great Western road.Past Balloch. Along the side of Loch Lomond. Passed the Drovers.
Looked good with it`s new beer garden. On to Tyndrum. Thought about having lunch here but everything was shut due to the rules of the Corona Virus.

Our final stop was Bridge of Orchy. Here we had lunch. Hamburger and chips for me.Lorna had a sandwich and chips. The highlight was getting my first draft beer for many weeks.
Now for the walk. We leave the Bridge of Orchy hotel.
Walk over the bridge that the river Orchy flows below. Weather is fine by now. We open the gate and follow the route of the West Highland Way.After a short climb we get great views down to the village. Watching the train pass in the distance. It`s so small it looks like a kids toy.
We are getting higher now with fantastic views over the mountains. You get to a viewpoint.Where you look down on Loch Tulla . All down hill now.Past the Cairn and on to the single tree. You can see the Inveroran hotel by now.
By the time you get to the hotel you have built up a thirst.
We are so glad the hotel was open.

It was a pleasure to meet up with some fellow walkers. Especially a friendly couple from Inverness- who had travelled a lot. They were sleeping in their car. Which sounded fun but we were happy to head home.
The Lockdown rules were to be followed at any place [that was open].We had to wear a mask when entering a shop or travelling on public transport. We had to sit outside when we stopped at the Bridge of Orchy hotel and over at Inveroran. They were doing their bit to stop the spread of this terrible epidemic.

We walked the road side on the way back to the car.Great day on the hills.Really enjoyed our first highland walk and roadtrip since lockdown.
