We had the pleasure of going to see the Titanic Exhibition in the Glasgow's Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre.

When you arrive, you are handed a ticket. Thats who you are on the ship. Later on, you can check if you survive. There is a memorial wall with all the names of the survivors and those who perished.
My ticket said I was Mr Lawrence Beesley. A second class passenger.
I had ticket number 248 Glad to say I survived. As did MrsB.

RMS Titanic sank on 15 April 1912. The unsinkable ship sank after striking an iceberg on her maiden voyage. She left Southampton, and was on route to New York. There was estimated 2,224 passengers and crew.
The Forward First Class Grand Staircase of Titanic. It was operated by the White Star Line, carried some of the wealthiest people in the world.
The yard is in Belfast and is still building ships.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet starred in the film Titanic. 1997 romantic disaster film. Everybody remembers the beautiful diamond and sapphire necklace and the scene where Kate Winslett, playing the lovely Rose, has her portrait painted by Jack, played by Leonardo di Caprio, wearing only the necklace.
