Conic Hill roadtrip
Another weekend--- another day out
Scotland has so many wonderful places to visit not too far from the cities.Today we took the car. Great short drive from our base. Along the Stockiemuir road. Past an other great walk-The Whangie . Details on my webpage. Next we go through the village of Coftamie. Cross the Etrick water on to Milton of Buchannan. From there we went through Drymen and turned left on to Balmaha.

Hillwalkers should always leave details of their routes.Scottish hills can kill
The walk takes about one hour up and 30 minutes down.Below is our drive to Balmaha then my images of the Conic hill.
The Walk is quite easy if your used to bagging Munroes but for the less keen walkers it is more of a challenge. Today we had the wrong jackets. We should have had a wind breaker as the chill factor was freeezing. The images were taken in March. The weather was fab for this time of the year.
The walk starts in the Balmaha car park. Through the woods and the top of the hill is right in front of you. At the beginning there are many steps. After that a stone pathway.
The last bit to the top you have to scramble a bit. It is all worth it. Because the views down loch lomond are stunning. You can take great shots of the many islands.
