It is the biggest event on Largs calendar. There is a torchlight parade to the Broomfields. Where the highlight is the burning of a Viking longboat. It all finishes with a spectacular fireworks display.
We took the train down from Glasgow.Only took about an hour. The train was full of Viking hunters heading to the resort to see the celebrations. We enjoyed a lovely walk along the shore to the Pencil monument. Erected to commemorate the battle of Largs.
The weather was perfect and the the sunset was stunning.
