Queens Park Glasgow 6th March 2025
Another day taking on the Historical plaque Challenge of Glasgow. There are 96 in and around Glasgow. Its no mean task. Searching from one boundary to another. History and exercise. 63 done. Today I was over at Queens Park area in the south side of the city.
The day started by searching google maps for a clue to where I was going to.
I started by taking the train from Dalmuir to Queens park .Changing in Glasgow. Easy journey. At the station I try to get my bearing. Hampden Park is the nearest I have ever been to this area.

Took a while to find Moray place to bag H E Clifford the Architect.
Next up was the famous Charles Rennie Mackintosh. He lived in two different houses on Regent Park Square.

While in this part of the city I had to take in the view from the Queens park Flagpole. It was worth the steep walk to see the great views over the city.
I decided to walk back into town. Took a de-tour into Govanhill to Ardbeg street to see RD Laing plaque. He was a top psychiatrist.
Part of the project is to learn for my tours of the city.
